Joseph's Story
Joseph Krupski has the smile and bounce of a typical, happy 3 year old; however, he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.
Joseph lives in Essex, Vermont with his parents, Mary and Brian, and his older sisters, 9 year old Allie and 7 year old Katey.
In December 2005, the Krupski family learned the extent of Joseph's illness, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and monosomy 7, a type of leukemia rarely found in children. A life-saving bone marrow or stem cell transplant would be required based on this diagnosis. A community bone marrow drive was held the following month, which added 1,211 people to the national bone marrow registry, in hopes of finding a perfect match. MORE>>>
Who Are The Friends Of Joseph?
The Friends of Joseph, a group of volunteers from Joseph's community, are committed to help raise funds for any transplant-related expenses not covered by any other means. The Friends of Joseph are working with the Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding families and communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients.
"When we trust God with our children's lives, He always provides more than we could ever imagine."
